“Perfect” played on the radio while I had breakfast yesterday, triggering memories of the challenges in pursuing music and the tension it caused with my dad. It saddened me that he couldn’t witness the beauty that emerged from our 25-year journey as a band. If only he could see the incredible legion of Simple Fans worldwide… Last night, while performing “Perfect” on stage, these emotions echoed. Strangely, I felt he might be watching and smiling, filling me with immense joy.
