The town known for its zero waste ambition is nestled in natural beauty. Nakamura didnt know what zero waste meant when he first heard the term as it isnt japanese so he tried to understand and explored the various meanings of the word waste. Waste created, don’t be wasteful, Don’t waste your time. Don’t waste your life. I can’t imagine myself living as frugally as Nakamura – his total utilities bill is 3 dollars a month! – but it was a truly inspiring time spent with a man who has created the life he wants.
