This birthday was truly special. My wife gave me the Gift of Life and my Life, Aadya, gave me a Gift which is truly Priceless. She decorated her room, wrote on the board, told my wife exactly what she wanted including the cake & confetti & balloons, prepared/painted the card herself & the most valuable…she herself made a notebook from blank pages, designed two Characters (Avina & Tavina), wrote a story around them (this is her first every story book that she has written herself) & gifted the same to me….all this without me knowing about it. A complete surprise. What else does one want? God is Great & God has been kind.

Today as I do a GUEST APPEARANCE for a song that I did 18 years ago, I would love to tell you the interesting story of when I heard the original song for the first time.
This is before my first film Iqbal has released & was still in post production. @subhashghai1 sir had called me to Amadeus studios in Andheri for some work. After we finished discussing our work, Subhashji took me to a music sitting room where @ipritamofficial Da was working on a song. The moment we entered, he told Subhashji excitedly that he had cracked a song & started playing ‘Dil mein baji guitar’ on his guitar & even sang a bit of it. I instantly loved it & remembered the tune. Subhashji generally asked for my opinion & I said ‘Sir I feel it’s a Superhit tune’. Little did I know that in a year’s time I would be a part of the same song…but as we know it now, destiny has interesting ways of connecting you with the things meant for you.
Next year I became a part of ‘Apna Sapna Money Money’…a film where I wasn’t the first choice. An Actor dropped out & I was selected last minute. We shot the song & it became my second hit song after Aashayein.
18 years later I am so happy & proud to be a small part of that same song yet again…albeit in a different Avatar…& to be doing it with the wonderful @saietamhankar who our production company introduced in films & the current heartthrob @sidchandekar. Thank you Kumar Taurani ji & @tips for rehashing a song which by God’s grace still remains fresh as ever.
God meets us in mysterious ways, today he met me in the form of @waghmodebapu
We were lost on our way to reach Dagdu Sheth Halwai Ganpati Bappa and in comes Bappu Waghmode & explains the route…He still finds us lost and so guides us on his bike the entire way from one end to the other making sure we reach the pandal on time… thank you saheb.
One more incident to reiterate the fact that the lord is all around us…We need to recognize him….he meets us, helps us, guides us, talks to us…we just need to make sure we know it’s him.
Treat everyone with utmost respect because you never know which one is God himself
