Toby Regbo Instagram – For Earth Day I had the honour of hearing @priscilatapajowara speak about the difficulties facing indigenous communities in the Amazon. A struggle against deforestation, aggressive agro-business, extractive industries and illegal mining. Although indigenous communities comprise only 6% of the global population they protect 80% of the worlds biodiversity. We all need to support these communities. They protect something sacred and essential for human life. Choose Earth is a beautiful campaign to support these communities, funding indigenous leaders, supporting activism and amplifying the voices that need to be heard.
