Todrick Hall Instagram – I have been obsessed with all things OZ since I was 6 or 7 hears old. So, when I started making whimsical pop remakes of my favorite stories “Oz” was an obvious first choice. Many of you may not know this but I grew up in Texas with Scott, Mitch and Kirstie who later became known as part of the acapella group “Pentatonix!” Kirstie and Scott were a part of the original productions of “Cinderella ROCK” (coming out soon) I reached out to Scott and Kirstie and told them the idea, and being the theatre obsessed kids they were they immediately were on board. We had to start at like 3 am getting into makeup in order to shoot all the locations, I was so sleep deprived and so worried about them that I forgot my Wizard costume which was gorgeous, so I ran to a thrift store in the high desert, found some Christmas ornaments and a hat and spray painted my costume together for the video. It ended up being one of my most memorable looks and a lot of my fans came to my concerts dressed up as this accidental DIY Wizard lol. I have made a ton of videos but this is one of my favorites of all time, I remember that all the Ptx members recorded their parts separately and I cried when I heard the final mix of the music. It’s so incredible what they can do with their voices and sometimes when I’m watching this I forget that there is no music.
