This is from Ayodhya where chefs are cooking 151 Quintal….about 33,000 pounds of batch of Ladoos.

Many years ago, I think 2013 Lata ji invited me to Prabhu Kunj, she asked me to cook prasad for the prayers.
My heart’s wish was granted. ❤️
I steamed baby bananas stuffed with jaggery-coconut-cardamom-sesame seeds.
As we are celebrating her legacy in Ayodhya, I wanted to share the simple recipe that Didi loved.
What an honor to work with CNN INTERNATIONAL to create such a heartfelt & amazing show.

This dish was inspired from Ugadi in Udupi. (1992)
The harvest festival of Karnataka.
I had the Prasad of coconut payasa (rice pudding) at Krishna Temple & later went to my sculptor teacher Gangadhar Rao house for the festival prayers.
His amazing wife had made Pineapple Sheera for me. The taste of memory helped us create this dish.
And here we are recreating 30+ memories through food. ❤️
