Okay/ it’s book release season in my family, and my wife released a REALLY good one this week: Milk Bar — All About Cookies 🍪❤️ Frankie and I have been the beneficiaries of this over the last year as she has been testing and retesting the amazing recipes in this book- resulting in LOTS of cookies around the house (they don’t eat themselves, life is so hard) She’s put out some pretty awesome cookbooks over the years, but this one is my favorite- every single cookie is so freaking delicious. Second picture is of my favorite recipe. Everything she does with Ritz crackers is insane, but this one is just nuts. I never was able to not eat the entire batch. Third picture is of Frankie’s favorite recipe. She’s not “supposed” to eat cookies, but she definitely has her mom’s sweet tooth and always managed to sneak one of these when we weren’t looking. All to say- pick up a copy — for you to give as a gift — or for yourself so you can bake some cookies and give those away as gifts. Cookies make people smile, and making people smile is cool. You’ll thank me later 🙃 Congrats to @christinatosi, @smmonson, and the rest of the team at @milkbarstore for putting another piece of awesome into the world.

Had a REALLY good conversation with my friend (and now publisher!) @simonsinek on his podcast — A Bit of Optimism. Simon is the reason I wrote this book — his belief in my ideas and the impact they could have gave me the courage I needed to sit down and start writing. Sometimes all you need is the confidence and conviction to say your most audacious goals out loud.
