It has truly been humbling to hear your connection to my book and to also know that because of it you feel seen. I appreciate the many of you saw that I bled on the page and decided not to kick me down, but to hold me up. Unfortunately, one of the misconceptions about the book is that it is funny. Many people who can’t process that a Comedian can write a serious book and continue to market it and promote it as such have caused quite a stir. People are giving me bad reviews because they expected to laugh when they read my story, they feel betrayed. I’m not just a comedian I am a writer and a human being. So thank you to the many of you who actually got it and didn’t deny me my full range of being.
