The whole “eating for two” is not technically correct, but your hormones are for sure making your stomach feel like you need to!
Cravings are REAL, and so is the struggle to keep out of the pantry. Sometimes I’m successful – other times not so much.
However, I always try to tell myself that the quick fix is NOT the right solution.
The fluctuations of estrogen and progesterone plays a trick on you and can drastically change the levels of and sensitivity to grehlin and leptin, two hormones closely controlling the feeling of hunger.
Exercise is one of the best way to combat grehlin and gain control of your eating. Fiber as well as plenty of fluids is another great tool to keep yourself out of the pantry and on track @rpstrength
This is also the case if you’re on your own (not with an extra person inside of you 😊)

-3 hours of working together at the house we are building this morning
-Physio appointment
-2 hours of figuring out the set up for the light we want in our garage/gym
-1 hour meeting for Frederik and computer work for me
– I get to pick up our baby and Frederik goes to house to clear out trash and take to recycling for a couple of hours
– Shower and out to sushi social for Dinner date with our girl 🥰
– Work on Empower
– Now snuggle on the couch together
I wouldn’t want my life any different ♥️

You can start all different kind of diet trends and some of them might be great for you but most of them you will not be able to stay with for a long time. Why?? I believe it’s because we can try all the different things but if we don’t have the fundamental understanding of why and how it works we won’t be able to stay motivated with it….
@rpstrength helped me understand what I needed to fuel myself PROPERLY. Not starving myself but fueling my body with what it needs.

They said she was washed up after a heat stroke forced her to withdraw from the 2015 Games. (She finished on the podium in 2017.) “Do what you are used to doing” during pregnancy I absolutely love this advice. However take to with a grain of salt for myself. As a professional athlete, we are pushing our physical boundaries to gain an edge all the time.
Normally I try to silence my mind and allow the physical pain to persist, but during pregnancy I listen to my body as there are hormonal and physical changes that makes it hard for me to know what is “good” pain and what is “bad” pain.
I am not trying to get stronger and I am not trying to get fitter…. I am maintaining good conditioning and strength as much as I can. I ALWAYS monitor my heart rate when I do conditioning and it allows me to stay below my threshold where there is a hypothetical risk of very low oxygen saturation. (That helps ME find MY boundary)
I’ve found that periods without training drains me more than it recharges me – so I focus on what I CAN do and make sure to tell myself that being active will be good for me and my baby – both now and later. I still train twice a day most days and it makes me feel good and strong 🤝🙏

Christmas tradition that we do every year ❤️🎄
The making of laufabrauð
(Icelandic tradition since the settlers, a little hard to make but don’t feel like it’s Christmas without it)
500g wheat
35g butter
15g sugar
250-260g full milk
1 teaspoon baking powder
I add in a pinch of salt
Add all dry ingredients together
Add butter squeeze in with hands into the mix
Luke warm milk that you add in VERY slowly while mixing
Roll into a sausage roll about 3 inches (keep in moist tea towel while rolling out each pancake so the dough won’t dry up) cut each roll into 15-20 pieces and roll out thin
Decorate as you want to by carving out!!! 🤩
Make sure to puncture small holes into them after you finish so they won’t all bubble up when you cook 🧑🍳
Fry in oil when all cakes are ready
Enjoy with Christmas meal with dipping into some butter 🫶
