Just found myself in M&S buying thermal underwear! Still the sun’s shining here in London so I’ll suck up the cold.
Our skin in the cold suffers and mine being on the pink spectrum can’t take it and needs protection.
When you’re out in the cold it can feel lovely and fresh but once inside you can see how much damage this weather does to our exposed areas.
We are constantly going from cold to dry central heating so no wonder our skin, lips, hair and cuticles look dry.
At night I remove my makeup with BALM 6. It’s a pure oil, no water so the kindest way to cleanse, massage and nourish my face.
This is not the time to be adding harsh oil stripping potions into your beauty regime.
All skins have a natural protective layer of oil and we want to preserve that, not destroy it.
After I’ve cleansed and using a warm damp face cloth gently wipe all residue off I then pat dry and use BALM 6 again as a night moisturiser. I need it to put back what the cold and dry has sucked out and with Prickly Pear in it, natures Hyaluronic Acid which helps form a barrier so we don’t lose moisture while we sleep, its a winner.
I also put it on my cuticles, lips and even hair if needed because BALM 6 has been created to have multiple uses.
Luxury has not been forgotten the aroma of Rosemary, Lemon Grass and Vanilla is loved by everyone I speak to.
This advice is not good for business but please use BALM 6 sparingly – As there’s no water in it the nourishing ingredient only is jam packed into the pot.
With the scoop that comes with it put a small coin size into your palms and as you rub them together watch it melt.

Hope you enjoyed Christmas and NY and if you didn’t, all of us on this feed have lived long enough to have know great Christmases and utterly terrible ones. So sending thoughts and love if you were experiencing the latter because they’re hell.
Christmas is like a magnifying glass if you’re having a good time its even better and if you’re having a bad time its 10 times worse.
I don’t make resolutions but definitely ‘intentions’ – Although Mark has reminded me that 1 of last years which was to delete and tidy up my computer still hasn’t happened!
However age has taught me (in the words of David Cassidy) to ‘cherish’ the good moments and dump, box off, distance in a controlled manner, the bad – There’s nothing worse than having pollutants in your life because its just too precious to waste.
When I’ve finished finding fire retardant glass doors for downstairs I’ll sort out the competitions and announce the lucky winners.

Divorce is always a tricky subject and no 2 are exactly the same. I was like a rabbit it the headlights and everyone seemed to have advice.
Cutting through it all though and finding the right path for me took time, with many emotional twists and turns.
What’s vitally important is your future and life the other side because if you have children, step children young or old, family, friends there will always be a link. So, domestic violence and abuse on one side, your decisions and behaviour going in will have an impact on your life the other side.
There wasn’t a go-to book for me so I wrote one, not a tome just what you need to know and a few thought provoking ideas which might help you survive and most of all flourish.

My body, feet, and hands are doing a happy dance they’re so hydrated.
I know we’re all covered up in the winter but it’s still vitally important to protect your skin and BODY 3 does the job brilliantly.
I’m so proud BODY 3 and this is why.

I always bang on about IPL to fade and remove pigmentation marks, and sunspots around this time of the year because it’s the best time to do it while you’re all covered up so I’m just re posting what I said last year as it still stands.
I’ve worked hard for the last 4 years to make mine fade down or disappear completely using IPL Intent Pulsed Light.
This procedure targets the damaged skin cells with multiple wavelengths of light heating them, breaking them down thus allowing the body to naturally dispose of the damaged tissue.
My thoughts on the effectiveness of IPL are all in this piece so if you have time and its something that’s bothering you take a listen.
I always advise you do your do your homework ask friends and research local clinics. Machines have come a long way since the early days but still only as good as the person in control. I as you know use my local Aesthetic Clinic @bodyvie_mediclinic and have done for over 20 years, machines are their business and the one they use for pigmentation is by a UK manufacturer @lynton_lasers
I’ve also stuck doggedly to one therapist there Bhumika who over the years has given my marks hell, played the long game and won.
