We’re less than 3 weeks away from the 10 Year anniversary of the launch of 21 Day Fix!!!! Needless to say it’s been a wild ride, one I could have never dreamed of. I’ve been reflecting back on the making of that program, what it meant to me, what it’s meant to SO many others & WHY it’s been so impactful.
Here’s what I can say, trying to lose weight, trying to get in shape, improve your health…it’s just not easy anymore. There are so many things that come into play, so many ways to do it. It’s information overload.
First of all you NEED a plan, something that gives you some structure to follow. Second, you need that plan to be easy to follow, not so many rules making it so hard that you can’t stick with it. THATS what 21 Day Fix is, it’s a simple plan that can become a lifestyle. SIMPLE FITNESS, SIMPLE NUTRITION, FAST RESULTS. When you start moving your body & fueling it with balanced macros, you start to feel good pretty damn quick!

I had a very proud moment yesterday. I got home from my photo shoot, ate a big lunch & then got a call that the team needed some new bikini pics of me. Instantly my mind started thinking “why didn’t they ask for these earlier? I could have taken the pics at the beginning of the day before I ate.” But I threw on my bikini, went out side and snapped some pics. I was a little surprised in all honesty by my muscle definition.
Yes, I workout regularly, I lift heavy, I challenge myself. I eat healthy, balanced meals and don’t over indulge in treats. But my hormones had been out of balance for a while, I had lost muscle definition, I had gained a few pounds that weren’t coming off, it just hadn’t been as easy as it used to be.
Here’s the thing though, I claim ownership of my experiences, good & bad. I use them to learn & grow. That’s what I’ve spent the last year doing. Learning all about nutrition and exercise and how they impact hormone health. There is something you can learn maybe even need to learn from every experience. Don’t give in when it gets hard. The last 7 months I’ve spent writing and testing my next program designed around hormone health. I’m so excited about how much it can help women take back their power & improve how they are feeling!

It’s been a year since I filmed the program, while I felt very strong filming the Super Block, a year of Pilates training has made a huge difference in my core strength & balance. I also did Chisel to finish out 2023 & I am lifting heavier than I’ve lifted in a long time which also felt amazing! You can be proud of yourself and be a work in progress. I’m always learning & challenging myself to reach new goals, improve my mechanics, strength, and flexibility as I get older.

Valentine Parfait for Two:
Serves 2
Container Equivalents (per serving): 💜½ ❤️½ 💛½
💙1
– ¾ cup / 185 g reduced-fat (2%) plain Greek yogurt
– ¾ cup / 40 g coconut whipped cream
– 2 servings FIXATE Strawberry Topping (searchable on BODi) (approx. ½ cup / 190 g total)
– ½ serving FIXATE Vanilla Cake (searchable on BODi) (without chocolate frosting; approx. ½ slice; cut into bite-sized pieces)
– 1 fresh strawberry (optional; for garnish)
1. Add yogurt and whipped cream to a medium mixing bowl; whisk to combine. Set aside.
2. Add half of FIXATE Strawberry Topping to a wine glass; top with half of FIXATE Vanilla Cake. Top with half of yogurt mixture. Repeat with remaining FIXATE Strawberry Topping, FIXATE Vanilla Cake, and yogurt mixture to form six complete layers. Garnish with strawberry, if desired.
