Chrissie Swan Instagram – Going back through my camera roll and today marks the one year anniversary of the coldest I have ever been in my entire life. We were in San Francisco and en route to Alcatraz. I was wearing a thermal, 2 woolen jumpers, a rain proof jacket AND a parka – and ALSO another parka – one the kids ones because WHY DON’T KIDS FEEL THE COLD WHY? My face felt like it was made of a glacier and could slip off my bones like one of those ice drift videos you see on Instagram. So I pulled my beanie over it and got around that way. The kids still talk about it, ‘Mum, remember when you were so cold you thought you would die at Alcatraz?’ 😂 When is the coldest you have ever been? It gets burned (frozen?) into your memory sometimes. I can still access that feeling! 🤣🫠 🥶
Chrissie Swan Instagram – In 2003 (over 20 years ago now OMG) I arrived in Maroochydore to launch a brand new radio station called Hot91. I had never met my co-host – Ronnie Stanton and I had never been behind a mic. And so began the great love affair I have had with radio ever since. He was a pro already and I was green, green, green but my goodness, we had the time of our lives! Today I had Yum Cha with Ronnie on the GC and it was like no time had passed! Absolute magic. SO MANY LAUGHS. We are both still in radio and still loving it like mad. How good! ❤️ (Swipe for a how it started, how it’s going!)
