Esmé Bianco Instagram – I’m so excited to be here today to announce my first ever poetry release. The first poem that I’m releasing out into the world is called YOUR PAGE. I wrote YOUR PAGE for a very special young lady in my life. When she was sexually assaulted last year, I found myself lost for words and yet there was so much I wanted to express to her. And that’s when YOUR PAGE came pouring out of me. And what started as a love letter from one survivor to another soon became a rallying call to all survivors. To reclaim our narratives, to raise our silenced voices, and to write the next chapter ourselves. It seems only fitting that the first poem I send out into the world be one that means so much to me. So I send her out to you with all my heart, soul, strength and might. Esmé Bianco Instagram – 2021, you have been a nightmare gift. One of the hardest years of my life, yet I hold such intense gratitude for the gifts you have given. You taught me that I have more strength, resilience and courage than I ever thought possible, yet you humbled me and at times brought me to my knees. You cleared my vision, allowing me to trust my intuition more than ever. Taught me that I don’t have to ask anyone’s permission to speak my truth. That my voice is mine alone. I have watched those I love struggle, but equally have seen them flourish and grow. I have been blessed with such incredible support from loved ones and strangers alike. You challenged me as an artist, making me so vulnerable that it scared the shit out of me, but I did it anyway. The world has at times felt very, very dark, and I thought it was more than I could stand. But stand I did. I thank you, 2021, as we move forward into a new year. You were a badass bitch but then so am I. And I thank every single one of you who have given me your love, support and solidarity. It does not go unnoticed, and means so very much to me.
