Nana asked just the other day whether she had them underneath her hoodie. Born once upon my mattress right there in ENCINO. Water slowed us down a bit…but all at once , there she was…barely any sound, staring deeply into my eyes—skin to skin. Instantly connected. Fast forward through the flipbook of images of parties and trips and trips around the sun. She grows more beautiful inside and out. All the places of higher education would like to have her…that’s what she has been for me…an education. How can we love deeper than our children….they are our teachers.
