An aspect of my life people rarely get a glimpse of and I also only have these 2 photos of my student life 🤣 because when I am studying my phone is on airplane mode, or its very early in the morning and I am still in pyjamas and dont know where my phone is or Im doing my assignments in the car. Why? Because I dont have the luxury of time. I have to allocate 3 hours every morning & 2 hours at night to complete 4 assignments, 10 chapters to read each subject, hours of research and reading articles and hours more preparing for exams. My student life is a mix of ugh its so hard, then getting straight A’s then suddenly failing a subject (once, never happened before and insyallah wont happen again, I learned my lesson, never take assignment submission for granted) and also a feeling of accomplishment but most of all – character building. I often get asked why? For what? Whats the purpose? You are already working. When will u use these qualifications? Honestly, being educated – at least for me is not for the sole purpose of using that qualification for monetary or corporate career gain. To me, its; 🍀 Character building, teaching myself to empty my cup every semester even though I think I already know everything about a subject, this applies to a lot of aspect in my life – “I know this but Im gonna empty my cup and listen.” Even if I dont learn anything new, I gave my full attention and respect to the person who is teaching. Something I didnt have in the past. Humility. 🍀 Broadening my perspective – in literally everything, every subject, every situation. I used to be tunnel visioned, everything has 1 way. I learned to force myself to learn something I am familiar with in a new perspective. Been to 1 marketing class? Go to 10 more. Read 1 book on finance? Now study 10 more. 🍀 The more I learn, the more I realise there is so much I DONT KNOW. 🍀 Respect. Both for myself and others. We dont see eye to eye? No problem. I respect you anyway.
