Episode 3 of Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year starts now. We sent Tai and Stephen out on the lake, I hope they recited poetry to Bomber’s camera… they looked fairly unsteady at times and I kept thinking of Bridget Jones Diary. 🫣 Sun came out for a wee bit = 🍦 Tough location but brilliant artists as ever, we love you all so much for being with us. #artaddict #thejudgementals #laoty

Sky Arts Ice Cream on Location of the year. 🍦 What a banging day last summer with the good people of Liverpool. Another talented bunch of artists in the pods and well SPF’ed wildcard artists. Yes there were ice creams all round and lots of posing with parasols but it was also a fierce competition and I work very hard ok?! Join us at Liverpool docks tonight on Sky Arts at 8pm. #laoty #landscapeartistoftheyear #liverpooldocks #tateliverpool thanks to @liz.makeup.11 for keeping me powdered and sun safe ☀️ xxx

Back in sunny Liverpool on tonight’s #landscapeartistoftheyear as the artists tackle the Three Graces, no, not the Judgementals but these fine architectural delights. I didn’t eat any ice cream no. #laoty #skyarts #landscapepainting

Valentine’s Day is approaching, I repeat Valentine’s Day is approaching. Please don’t panic. I’ve got you covered. @theartofldn which showcases culture in the West End, wants to make sure your February 14th is full of masterpieces so check out what’s on offer on their website. Or follow in my footsteps. I started with the ever-romantic Impressionists @royalacademyarts. This is a beautiful show that feels intimate but includes over 70 works on paper. A highlight for me is always seeing women impressionist artists, for too long left out of the conversation and The Bride by Eva Gonzales is also bang on my love theme. ❤️ 💐 From the RA to the @nationalgallery where I got up close and personal with another Impressionist work, Monet’s Beach at Trouville. He painted this portrait of his new wife on his honeymoon and I always get such a kick out of seeing the grains of sand on the surface as a result of him painting en plein air. A famous couple, but distinctly less romantic is Mr & Mrs Andrews by Thomas Gainsborough, these guys look like they are having a bit of a bad date. I then went cupid hunting and landed on this gorgeous fleshy one by Francesco Solimena. And then because it’s almost like a second home at this point I popped into @nationalportraitgallery and it doesn’t get much more Valentine’s than Shakespeare’s sonnets. My husband was rather taken with the portrait of King Henry VII who had this natty little picture done as a proto- tinder profile picture. Sadly his intended bride rejected the offer. 👎 We ended our visit at the impeccable bar and restaurant @8atthelondoner They have a Valentine’s menu and I may have had an advance taste… lobster tacos for the win. And how beautiful are these cocktails? Anyway, there is no excuse to have an uninspired evening now!
