I don’t half ass anything. 🤪 I’ve had an all Asian grazing board vision hiding in my head for a while and am so proud to debut it to friends in celebration of the Lunar New Year. Along with some usual suspects of charcuterie, dips, vegetables, I loaded the 13 foot table with dim sum, every nostalgic Asian snack you can dream of, and a few roasted suckling pigs for the win! We built a second table just to hold the desserts (egg tarts, fried sesame balls, lucky candies, lychee jello cups, and more). I felt emotional after stepping back and seeing all the nostalgia captured on the table. Grandma would have been so proud and parked up next to the kumquats and licorice watermelon seeds. Thank you to all the friends that came out to support and celebrate. Cant wait to go even harder next year! Happy year of the dragon everyone!🧧🐲🐉
Thank you to @staym88 and the team, @chefgingerjpierce and the @1hotels team, @therealtsarnicoulai and all our sponsors for helping me make this come to life and being a big part of our Lunar celebration.

Sweatpants to dinner. 👑
I have a special place in my heart for traditional steakhouses, particularly the iconic House of Prime Rib in San Francisco. The bacon loaded baked potato and spinning salad alone are worth going, then you have various tableside cuts of prime ribs from the traditional City or King Cuts (thick cuts), to the English Cut (thinner slices which I prefer). Every table also gets Yorkshire pudding. And if you have room like us, there’s chocolate cake, crème brûlée, and tiramisu. And pro tip: they offer a free second cut if you finish your first 👍🏽 I can hear my mom now yelling at me not to fill up too much on the house baked bread. 🐽 @thehouseofprimerib

I see you.
The Lunar New Year is tomorrow! Catch me on @cnn tonight 8:40/11:40pm ET discussing my favorite Lunar foods. Some Chinese traditions and superstitions to follow:
1. Make sure to wear something red for good luck.
2. Don’t wash or cut your hair the day of or you’ll wash away your luck.
3. Make dumplings with your family for wealth and prosperity (visit my link for my virtual class!).
4. If you’re married give away red envelopes to anyone younger. 🧧 (I’m not married but give to children)
5. Don’t clean your home or you’ll sweep away your luck.
6. Decorate your house with citrus with green leaves for prosperity and warding off bad energy.
7. Eat noodles for longevity!
There are so many more traditions that I grew up following, but the most important is spending time sharing an insane amount of food with your family and loved ones. Happy new year to you! Wishing you good health and all the things your heart desires!

How we do the Lunar New Year in the U.S.💥🧨🧧🐲🐉🦁🏮
(See previous reel for my Asian grazing board)
Look Ma, I’m on CNN talking about the Lunar New Year! 🤯🧧🐉 My younger self would never have imagined sharing the foods and traditions of my culture on this level. As a Chinese American, I was the little kid embarrassed of my lunchbox of mom’s leftovers. I would celebrate all the festive moments of Chinese New Year/Lunar New Year on the weekend — wearing red, making and eating way too many dumplings, collecting red envelopes, visiting every relative I never knew I had, only to return to elementary school the next day without saying a damn word about it. My worlds felt so distinctly separate. I’m so honored to have this opportunity to speak about these incredible foods and traditions deeply rooted in an identity I’m so proud of today, and I hope you are of yours as well! Thank you @cnn and @thelauracoates for having me. I’m wishing you all a Happy New Year full of good health, happiness, prosperity, and good food! Also the twins nieces made the cut eep! 🥹❤️
Big thanks to @gingypants and my team for making this happen. Visit the link in my profile for virtual classes on how to make dumplings.
There you are, Peter. 🧚🏻
