Several years ago today, we got the knock on the door that everyone fears. It was the police. They were here to tell us that my best mate, my big sister had died. She was just 19 years old 💔 . . That unexpected and devastating knock on the door was a shattering of lives which will never fully recover. I’m not sure you’re ever the same again after something like that if I’m honest. . . Life can change forever, in a single second, in a way that you never would have imagined. . . I write this post as a reminder (including to myself) to embrace life, to value health and those people whom you love. To never take family for granted (fix those rifts if you have them) and to try and find happiness however and wherever you can. As I say, we never know what tomorrow will bring… . . We all love and miss you very much sis and always will, until we meet again❤️ . .

Reflecting on the time when @jacquelinegoldcbe came to do an interview on my show. (Excuse the blurry picture! 🤦🏼♀️) . . She was honestly one of the loveliest, kindest, most genuine people I’ve ever met and I was lucky to have also worked with her on a few occasions too. I told her often that she was an inspiration to me and she truly was. . . Shocked and saddened to hear the news today. But it was also a timely reminder not to sweat the small stuff. . When my big sister passed away, I made a promise to try and live an ‘extra-ordinary life’. I guess in some ways to make up for her losing hers & bring some fun for her to look down on. . . That desire has led to me pushing my own comfort zone so many times over the years that have followed….I’ve achieved business success, travelled the world, ran marathons, done triathlons, won a reality-tv show, written a book, ran for parliament, worked in the media and now to add to that list, been part of a live event for the future Prime Minister of this country (in my view). . .
