Life’s little wildling here with a reminder that the light is 100% internal! Whatever you’ve witnessed on the outer, is a direct result of the heart-fairy activity within! 🧞♀️ Humans can get very fixated on mimicking packaged ‘luxury’, ignoring the original sources of it — sources that we’ve already created and have unlimited access to. Sources that have nothing to do with what is purchased or acquired or being inside of any particular establishment. Nothing to do with an aesthetic. It’s your authenticity, your voice, it’s solid connections with loved ones, healed relationships, a real tribe… It’s taking care of your vessel, it’s sharing/giving back, it’s nature and sun, frolics in the grass in the middle of a Wednesday because you’re on your own time, it’s peace unwaivered by the world’s impulses, it’s self-expression uninfluenced by what you believe you need to buy just to display, and it’s finding your art and letting it move your entire SOUL as you see fit. No matter where you see me pop up — that’s the inner engine. That’s the BOOM. ✨ (Currently walking among poets… #GetLit)
One of my favorite (and super lowkey) things that I do for a living is something called Audio Description. I go into a studio during post-production and narrate all kinds of projects — movies, documentaries, children shows, animation, etc. so that sight impaired people can experience television on their own. Aside from being a lot of fun using my unique voice and working with humans that have became dear friends, I adore knowing that it allows people to enjoy our world autonomously, without having to rely on a relative or any other person to describe what’s happening on the screen. When I was in Maryland, I lived right up the street from ‘The Maryland School for the Blind’ (@marylandschoolfortheblind) for a bit, and was always watching out for their enrollees navigating through my neighborhood when driving. I’ve loved recording the waves of my imagination since I could hold a crayon, and I’m so grateful for what that crayon has turned into. 🖍️ ✨ 1. Start small. Even if you only write for 5 minutes at a time, get a thought out. One complete thought. 2. Eat your young. Cannibalize your creativity and start over again. It’s ok. Writing every day rewires the brain into knowing that you have a limitless resource in your imagination. 3.
