What I find so important now that Im getting older is, starting your day early to have some “Me Time”. Now, I’m not perfect at this yet, but lately I been having the strength to get up early at 5:30am just to practice meditation and Stretch!
Over the last week I find myself being well rested, having a positive mindset throughout the day, and taking less naps ever since I decided to start my day early. The only time I am staying up late is if I’m working on something important or I’m having a night out with friends.
Some people struggle with having “me time” because they only try to squeeze it in on the weekend. I prefer not to do that.
I believe once you give yourself time to meditate before dealing with traffic, other people emotions, getting kids ready for school etc.. during the weekday. The less likely you are to get stressed out so easily and not allow others to ruin your day.
On top of getting my day started early, I also been practicing going to bed early at a decent time to get in the rhythm of things, which is called Circadian Rhythm (sleep/wake cycle). If only you guys knew how many times I been called a grandma because I like to get my rest.😂 But it’s definitely important to stick to a consistent sleep schedule when trying to start your day early.
