Today was a day of emotions and reflection. It’s been 10 years since I’ve been here. Visiting her was bittersweet; her absence still aches. I miss her voice, I miss her smile. I bought her flowers, a tribute to her memory. I’m grateful for @i_40_black_love who came with me and has faithfully honored Natina’s request to take care of me.
Dealing with trauma is hard, but today I found strength to face it. My sister was my best friend, and the bond lives on. After my visit, I treated myself to a cocktail. Sometimes a little self-care is well-deserved. 💐
I have been on ☁️ cloud 9 since last night! OMG! After all of these years, I finally hit the stage for my first solo performance ever! Thanks so much to @therealcandiace for letting me be her special guest on her ATL stop for the #DeepSpace Tour 💋 Duet soon! Lol Thanks so much to @nyethesongwrita for EVERYTHING! What an awesome month celebrating my sister @TheBrandiD’s wedding! We showered her with love and she’s the happiest person in the world. We shared tears of joy, laughed, and cried at her Atlanta bachelorette party. Then, we jetted off to Vegas for her wedding ceremony, and back to ATL for her wedding reception.
