Yes Lakshadweep is the new shining star and tickets are not available till March. But as many of you rightly pointed out with the influx of tourists we have to think about if Lakshadweep has the infrastructure to handle this kind of tourism???
Or is it a disaster that’s about to happen?
Do we have proper waste management systems in place there? Can it handle so many tourists? Will it become like Ladakh or Himachal choking with traffic, pollution and waste that they cannot handle?

Goa is more expensive than Sri Lanka, Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam which offer great value! So stop going to Goa for New Years. It’s over priced and over crowded! Choose Cambodia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, and Thailand!
Even a hotel in Hawaii is cheaper than Goa at this time!
And anyway – The locals of Goa are so frustrated with the craziness at this time ( see comments in my previous videos ) Do let them breathe and allow Goa to heal. It needs a break!!!!

Mumbai’s turned into a construction circus. NOT just the metro but over 11,000 private building construction sites.
This construction spree isn’t just about cranes and steel; it’s painting the town in a nasty haze, thanks to its not-so-eco-friendly impact.
Debris trucks now rule the streets in Bandra, Khar, and Santacruz – welcome to the chaos of redevelopment.
How did this happen?
Project Approvals in Overdrive:
– 1000 projects approved just for the Bandra-Andheri belt.
Why are people okay w this??
A pumped-up Floor Space Index (FSI), and a housing market on steroids – people getting one more room in their apartments – if it’s a 2 bed, you can get a 3 bed.
The builders put the people in an another building for a few years while they “re develop”. Buildings that don’t even need re development are getting re developed because everyone wants more room which means the cost of the flat goes up which means more money.
As a result even RENTS HAVE DOUBLED. RENT IN BANDRA FOR A 2 BED WHICH WAS 1 LAKH A MONTH IS NOW 2 LAKH A MONTH!
Landlords are retiring in Switzerland 🇨🇭 laughing their way to the bank!
BMC’s approval stamp on 2,473 projects in 2021 was like hitting a jackpot – a cool Rs 15,000 crore in their pockets (not yours).
Breathless Beauty Makeover:
Forget facelifts; Mumbai’s doing a complete overhaul. Old buildings vanish, replaced by skyscrapers, leaving the city breathless for more reasons than one.

Highlight and the thing that kept me afloat in 2023 was spending more time w my parents as I was living w them ( cause I didn’t have an apartment) but it was nice to reconnect and get to know them again.
And finishing my book 📕 I finally submitted in November but after that came a huge void. It was like I gave up my baby and now had an empty nest.
Nobody sees the tears, fears and anxiety behind the smiles on Instagram. But there were many right here.
However, I’m determined to use the lessons and change it all in 2024!
No more sleepwalking for me. I will be more present.
Cheers to the new year!

Cheers to moving into a new place! I finally found one to rent – it’s a small one bed but it’s cute ( it goes into redevelopment next year but at least I have it for 2024) I move in mid jan!
My book comes out Jan 15th too!! And I am praying that you love it and I can turn it into a Netflix or Amazon show and be the creative producer on it.
I plan to start my podcasts and new shows this year and I feel I will go back to traveling India 🇮🇳- my soul is here!

Normalise doing NOTHING on New Years Eve!
For years I have pressured myself and my parters and friends to do something for New Years!
But today I told myself – I have been running around all year, tonight I truly want to do NOTHING.
There’s freedom in doing nothing.
I do not want to be in traffic or up late or be drunk. I want to sleep early and start the day fresh and not sleepy and tired and hungover.
My plan tonight is NOTHING! Read a book, enjoy the silence, watch a movie 🍿 and sleep early!!!

In Dubai, using your left hand to greet someone is a no-no, and PDA? Absolutely not. Dress appropriately, mind your language, and don’t snap photos without a nod. Keep your medicines discreet, avoid public feasts during Ramadan, and watch those hand gestures on the road. No prohibited items, darling, and steer clear of disrespecting the royals. Tourist spots are a must, but unmarried cohabitation? A definite don’t. Cross-dressing, drinking, and dancing in public? Save it for another scene, my dear.
Dubai may have its rules, but it’s still a kick-ass place and it feels like another city in India – so close!
PS I’ve never seen more women in thongs than I saw in Dubai – it felt like Miami and the number of “HOT”women were more than Las Vegas. It’s definitely NOT as conservative as you would think. So take your bikini 👙 it’s okay.
The food scene is a dream.
And don’t even get me started on the luxury hotels and desert adventures. Dubai’s got a certain glam, and if you play by the rules, you’ll have a fabulous time 😉

Why are we still ending up in hospital for drinking water from our taps? In Mumbai, drinking our water is like playing Russian roulette- drink and maybe die!
Rome had its sewage and water game on point before founding in 753 BC ; while we’re here in India, still trying to decode the mysteries of sewage systems and drinking water in 2024.
Now before you send me hate know that I am only comparing because I want us to get better!
I want us to know we deserve better!
I want us to pressure the government ( whichever government I don’t care – all our past and present are the same and haven’t figured it out ) –
It’s time to stand up and say -we need the basics – clean water and sewage systems
If they could figure it out in 750 BC ; why can’t we figure it out in 2024???
