Susan Carland Instagram - On radio this morning (and after quite a maiden speech against non-white migration yesterday), Senator Fraser Anning said this about the need for banning all Muslim migration: “If you have a jar of jellybeans and 3 of them are poisonous, you’re not going to try any of them.” To Senator Fanning: 1) sounds like you’ve considered eating Muslims. Please don’t eat us 2) multiculturalism is colourful and awesome, just like these jellybeans. So I’m popping these in the mail for you. NB - these certainly aren’t poisoned, but they are halal 😇

He’s clearly one of those sickeningly talented individuals who excels at whatever he turns his mind to. He’s also a really nice, thoughtful bloke. Outrageous. Susan Carland Instagram - V for Vaccinated! So happy and grateful that we were now both eligible for our Covid vaccine in Melbourne! It was probably the least painful vax I’ve ever had (Waleed only cried a little bit. So proud of him). A couple of hours later and I feel totally fine - no second head has grown! 🙃 Working with @unicefaustralia I know how many people around the world aren’t able to get vaccinated and I know me getting it helps protect the community. Nobody is safe until everybody is safe. ✌️ for #vaccinated EDITED TO ADD: turning off comments because this was descending into a dumping ground for antivax conspiracy, never backed by facts or evidence, and (intriguingly often) really rude and often using bizarre personal attacks, despite my attempts to engage politely and respectfully. So, go somewhere else 😊 My Insta isn’t for dangerous, unscientific comments to be platformed 🤷‍♀️

Susan Carland Instagram - One of the best things about getting married ludicrously young is having my 17 YEAR wedding anniversary before I’m 40! 😱😍 We were so young & foolish when we got married, everyone around us (including our long-suffering parents) must have been shaking their heads saying, “Who are these clowns playing grownups?” Waleed was still at university, for goodness sake. We knew nothing and it showed, bless our young, ridiculous hearts. To everyone’s surprise, except perhaps ours, we’re still here. And 17 years on, we now get to be old & foolish instead ❤️

Many times, I've been approached by women who are experiencing hair-loss due to cancer treatment asking how I tie my scarf, or where I buy my scarves from. . So I am thrilled to be teaming up with @cancervic vic to offer scarf workshops to women who have experienced hair-loss showing different scarf styles and handy tips. . HERE'S WHAT WE NEED: if you are a hijab or scarf business, would you consider donating anyscarves and/or under-caps (caps are especially important for women who have little to no hair) to @cancervic as part of this workshop? So I am thrilled to be teaming up with @cancervic vic to offer scarf workshops to women who have experienced hair-loss showing different scarf styles and handy tips. . HERE'S WHAT WE NEED: if you are a hijab or scarf business, would you consider donating anyscarves and/or under-caps (caps are especially important for women who have little to no hair) to @cancervic as part of this workshop?
