‘They were fishing!’ Found a 5000 year old copper fishing hook in the desert of Oman… Whenever I stumble across something like this it humbles me to think about the many moments and lives that have come before me and will come after me. 5000 years ago someone sat at the edge of the water hoping to catch dinner, baiting this hook and waiting for the depths bellow to come alive. What they used for lines I can’t imagine, but I do know that feeling is like to wait for the tug of a fish on the other end.
