Since Feras has already done such an amazing job with his current built it was a natural progression to get the new design out on the race track where it belongs. This is where elements, shapes, lines of the C6V3 really come alive as sun dances across its forms. One key element we wanted to implement with the new design is what we call “standing speed” when a car retains its agression and speed while in a static position. After setting the design parameters, the build evolved through iterative processes until the final shapes emerged. This project signifies a new era for us, incorporating a new pipeline and workflow utilizing CAD software. While introducing a new tool posed challenges, it unlocked a realm of new opportunities for perfect forms replicable in manufacturing. – Fun Fact – The C6V3 front and rear fender height clearance has increased by 8cm/3in from the stock Z06 giving Feras much more room to run various different track setups. DEMAGLITCH – I am REALLY into studying history. I often have history podcasts or the History Channel playing while I work. I love to learn new things and am always trying to discover how and why things are the way they are. We are fascinating creatures and me trying to find these odd moments and reducing them down to shapes and colors is an interesting exercise in exploring these oddities.
I have been doing a deeper dive into art history. Studying the “greats” and the forgotten. Learning and reflecting and doing my own journey of discovery. One of the themes that keep raising for me is understanding how ones style evolves and shifts based on interests, intent, curiosity and placement in time.
