We cannot continue to give Netanyahu and his right-wing government billions of dollars to continue their war against the entire Palestinian people.
If I were giving the State of the Union address tonight, here’s what I’d say:
If millionaires and billionaires paid the taxes that they legally owe, we could raise $150B more in revenue each year. That’s more than enough to provide tuition-free college to all Americans.
Maybe instead of cutting IRS funding, we should make the wealthy pay their fair share.

Bottom line is this. The way to win elections is to say loudly and clearly to the American people: We are going to create an economy and society that works for you, not just for billionaires.
Another Trump presidency would be a disaster — not only for our country, but for the world.
We will lose the fight against climate change.
Women will no longer have control over their own bodies.
Billionaires will get richer and working people will suffer.
Only one candidate understands that we must address the threat of climate change; that women have a right to control their own bodies; and that our economy must work for working people and not just billionaires.
That candidate is Joe Biden.
The United States has got to say loudly and clearly to Netanyahu and his right-wing government: You are not getting another nickel of U.S. taxpayer money to murder women and children in Gaza.
Exxon Mobil is blaming the public for the climate crisis. REALLY?
Â
Let’s be clear. Â
Â
Exxon knew the truth about fossil fuels and climate change for DECADES and lied to protect their bottom line at the expense of our people and our planet. They must be held accountable. I know, it sounds radical. But maybe, just maybe we should create an economy that works for all, not just for Mr. Bezos and Mr. Musk.
If you watch television in America, the word working class will never, ever be used.
This country likes to pretend we are a classless society, where three people just happen to own more wealth than the bottom half of America.
It’s time to change that status quo.
The United States of America cannot allow the wholesale slaughter of the Palestinian people.
I am more than aware that many Americans are tired of hearing about COVID-19 and would like to sweep it under the rug. Unfortunately, the virus is not done with us. I encourage everyone to get free COVID tests through the U.S. Postal Service before the end of the day.

If Congress can provide trillions of dollars in tax breaks to billionaires and large corporations, if Congress can bail out the crooks on Wall Street, please do not tell me that Congress can’t support a secure retirement for working Americans.

Million of Americans continue to suffer from long COVID, and too often many have their symptoms dismissed or ignored.
We cannot allow this crisis to continue.
Defense contractors’ greed is not just fleecing the American taxpayer; it’s killing Ukrainians. A contractor padding its profit margins means that fewer weapons reach Ukrainians on the front lines. Corporate greed is helping Vladimir Putin.

Congratulations to the members of the Dartmouth men’s basketball team on voting overwhelmingly to become the first college sports team in America to form a union. It’s time for Dartmouth to respect their constitutional right to organize and bargain for a fair contract now. Republicans want to raise the retirement age.
I, for one, don’t believe that 87-year-olds should be bagging groceries at the supermarket.
I’ve got another idea: force the people on top to pay their fair share in taxes so we can expand benefits.
In traveling around the country and talking to thousands of Americans across each and every state, one thing is clear: The people are far, far more decent than many people in government representing them.
We are in the middle of a climate crisis. We cannot sit back as these tragedies, like the devastating wildfires in Texas, become more frequent and more widespread. We must act.
