Congratulations to Andy, Danai, Scott M. Gimple, & the entire Walking Dead Family on the premiere of The Ones Who Live!! These pics are from the screening a couple weeks back. It was so lovely and actually kind of emotional since we all haven’t been in one place in AGES. So cool that other WD cast showed up for support too! A wonderful reunion and a FANTASTIC show. It really rockets right outta the gate and there are tons of “holy shit!!!” moments. Huge love to the cast and crew and I can’t wait to see the rest of the series!!

I had a blast doing #Barmageddon! I had initially passed on it because I don’t drink, but the producer was very kind and basically said, “No problem! We’ll just make the drinks non-alcoholic!” So they did! Everyone was super nice and Rob Riggle is just the best. Not only one of the funniest people alive but also super cool. Hey I made a thing! 8 episodes of it! “Up For Auction” will start streaming on @TheCW app on Feb. 8. This show was an absolute blast. As a collector of pop culture props and stuff I’ve been to or watched many an entertainment auction. Obviously, it’s fascinating to see what the big ticket items sell for, but I love seeing items that go for about as much as a video game because I know that that piece of memorabilia has some special significance to the person who bought it. In the case of Disney park items, those things are wrapped in stories that were very likely some of the most cherished memories in someone’s life. When @vegallery told me that they were about to put up the largest Disney collection from a single collector, I knew I wanted to see if we could document the process. So we did! I pitched the idea to and partnered with @brianvolkweiss (who was a great podcast guest a while back) and @nacelle who did the fantastic shows “The Toys/Movies That Made Us” at @netflix and Disney ’s “Behind the Attraction.” There’s so much fun stuff in this show that involves amazing historical park pieces, PLENTY of great Disneyana factoids, and how an auction of this magnitude even works. It’s finally out! All 8 episodes of Up For Auction are now available for FREEEEE on @thecw @thecwapp! Here’s a clip of the first minute or so of the series. This show was pure joy and I had an amazing time making it with a truly fantastic team, @nacellecompany. It was incredible to see this Disney collection up close and marvel at how @vegallery pulled it off so beautifully. Yes, at its core it’s a process show about how an auction works, but it’s imbued with so many lovely stories, memories, and information that it’s so much more. If you’re looking for a happy, feel-good show about fandom this is it! Plus the auction gives you just enough edge-of-your-seat-ness for the ride…like if Antiques Roadshow were made in an enchanted forest. Special heads up! Episode 7 is entirely Haunted Mansion themed! Ok I’m done rambling now. Hope you like it!!
The other producers of Up For Auction (FREE on @thecwapp!) were kind enough to let me take a crack at writing and recording the theme song, which I did with @opusorange (whom I record a lot of silly songs with that I may actually put out into the world someday). It was so much fun! We first made an almost bluegrassy version with spare instrumentation. Then I thought we should make a dance remix just cuz. Then after that, I wanted to try a vintage synth/electronic version. I was going to submit all three and let everyone else pick (or possibly reject all of them). Then PB, aka @emotomusic, says to me he says, “Just for shits, let’s just smash all three of ‘em together to see what it sounds like.” Weirdly, it all fit together really nicely so I just submitted that! The whole process only took a day, which was cool because there was no time to overthink anything. And that’s my long story! The song turned out really bouncy and happy and I’m delighted they let me do it. I always wanted to make a TV theme song!! 📺 🎶
