Chris Hardwick Instagram – The other producers of Up For Auction (FREE on @thecwapp!) were kind enough to let me take a crack at writing and recording the theme song, which I did with @opusorange (whom I record a lot of silly songs with that I may actually put out into the world someday). It was so much fun! We first made an almost bluegrassy version with spare instrumentation. Then I thought we should make a dance remix just cuz. Then after that, I wanted to try a vintage synth/electronic version. I was going to submit all three and let everyone else pick (or possibly reject all of them). Then PB, aka @emotomusic, says to me he says, “Just for shits, let’s just smash all three of ‘em together to see what it sounds like.” Weirdly, it all fit together really nicely so I just submitted that! The whole process only took a day, which was cool because there was no time to overthink anything. And that’s my long story! The song turned out really bouncy and happy and I’m delighted they let me do it. I always wanted to make a TV theme song!! 📺 🎶 | Posted on 12/Feb/2024 23:48:43
