It’s with a heavy heart today that we announce the deaths of two SEALs, Chris Chambers and Nathan Ingram. They were killed in action in the Gulf of Aden during a ship boarding operation on January 11th.
The vessel was carrying Iranian weapons to the Houthis in Yemen (same Houthis that have been shooting those missiles at US ships lately, disrupting global trade). The seas were rough, and one SEAL went into the water during the boarding. It appears the second went in to rescue his teammate.
These ops are dangerous. We have to hook a caving ladder to a hard point high up on the deck, and climb up from the smaller combat craft alongside the ship, while both are moving. All at night. With rough seas, a lot can go wrong. Everyone carries flotation with them and emergency “water wings”, but we don’t have the details of what happened exactly or whether the flotation worked.
The water is warm, about 80 degrees, so the search went on for a long time in the hopes these guys could be found.
Unfortunately that search was called off today. Pray for the families of these heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice.
I wish more Americans understood the dangerous world we live in. I wish more understood how fragile the system is that gives you all of life’s comforts and freedoms. Chaos spreads easily and quickly, as history shows over and over. Leaving evil alone doesn’t make it go away. Thank God there are brave men willing to raise their right hand and take on these dangers and protect our way of life.

This is one of the more aggressive videos I’ve ever had to post, but I believe it’s necessary if it means holding these people accountable and affecting positive change. You really need to see it all the way to the end. You’ll see a United agent grab the dog and personal property, and you’ll hear the shocking recording of my conversation with that agent’s supervisor (the VP of Operations) here in Houston. I fully expect United Airlines will attempt to retaliate against me. They’ve already sent me multiple veiled threats regarding my ability to travel in the future. Because they have a monopoly on the routes I need to DC, I don’t have much choice but to fly them.
I honestly did not want to post this. I tried to resolve this privately. I know there are good people at United. But these two individuals need to be called out. And their terrible corporate leadership needs to answer a simple question: do you condone this behavior?
Instead of doing anything to accept responsibility for their bad behavior or try to correct what is clearly inappropriate and problematic behavior, United, through its representative and lawyers, have threatened me personally and taken an irrationally hostile approach to this incident.
Many of you have shared your stories of being mistreated by an airline agent on a power trip. It’s time to start considering legislation that protects passengers. These airlines took tens of billions of dollars from taxpayers. United took $10.9 B and owes us better than this.

This is a unique moment, where Democrats are finally politically vulnerable enough to want a deal on border security. This chance will not come again, no matter who becomes President. We have the ability to pass laws that would force Biden’s hand to actually fix the problem, if we act soon and attach it to the Ukraine/Israel supplemental that Biden wants so bad. That’s a practical and feasible stance to take. It’s a betrayal of our voters to do anything less.
Here’s another fact that apparently makes some people uncomfortable: The solution to our border crisis is not just to “enforce the laws we already have!” We need new laws. That’s why Republicans passed HR2, which was mostly new immigration law. Our current laws have too many loopholes, which is why Trump had to make a deal with MEXICO to get the border under control. Anyone who says we don’t need new laws is lying to you, or is simply clueless about immigration law.
Solutions aren’t that complicated. We need an emergency shutdown for 6 months. We need to reform the standards for asylum claims so not just anyone can claim asylum. And we need to end the mass paroling this administration is allowing (because of loopholes in current law!!).
And finally, YES it’s true Biden made it worse. You want to live in the past and point fingers? Or you want to stop illegal immigration?

I’ll make a couple of points. First I’m tired of the runaround from Democrats. They speak in circles, saying meaningless things like “no one is for an open border,” just “work with us,” and we “need Republicans to stop blocking comprehensive immigration reform.” All of this is Democrat code for: keep the border open and talk in circles.
They invited a libertarian economist to advocate for open immigration policies. He essentially argues that the easiest way to stop illegal immigration is to just make them all legal, and let them get jobs. LOL.
The problem with libertarians is that everything is a market theory to them. When it comes to domestic economics, that works just fine. But when applying that philosophy to all other policy- from immigration to social issues to foreign policy – libertarianism falls short. Why? Because it’s devoid of any value that can’t be expressed through a supply and demand chart.

The @energyandcommerce committee unanimously approved a bill that would delist TikTok from app stores if ByteDance doesn’t sell the company. If this is enacted, they will have 165 days to sell.
To be clear, this isn’t a ban, but this is a major way we can prevent the Chinese Communist Party from accessing millions of American’s data. Just today TikTok prevented users from accessing the app unless you shared your zip code, prompting you to call your Congressman and repeat their lies. This is a massive information warfare campaign happening right before our eyes. This isn’t old people being grumpy, or just “not getting it.” The CCP is actively stealing American data. This has to stop now.
Most people think fentanyl only comes to the US in its final form as the deadly poison killing tens of thousands of Americans each year. That used to be the case, but President Trump got China to crack down on illegal fentanyl exports. But Chinese suppliers still illegally export the precursor chemicals for fentanyl. Most people think those go straight to Mexico but the reality is much of it comes straight to the US right here through LA.
These precursors are hidden in legitimate commercial cargo and make their way to Mexico, where they are combined to make fentanyl and pressed into pills. CBP has to find these chemicals somehow, while competing with high volume, time constraints, and forged manifests. They’re finding a lot, but not everything. And it doesn’t help when dozens of their agents have to go deal with the crisis at the southern border.
So what can be done? Simple changes to law — like higher penalties for falsified manifests — can start to crack down on those fueling the crisis. Let’s start there.
Today is a huge win for patients everywhere — the House passed a bill that makes sense (shocker).
My bipartisan Medicaid Primary Care Improvement Act incentivizes a form of healthcare that is better for patients and for the American taxpayer.
Let me explain — direct primary care is one of the easiest and more direct ways to deliver primary care to patients. It is a payment model that makes sense… you pay a monthly fee, and you get unlimited access to a primary care physician. That’s it. This keeps vulnerable patients out of the costly emergency room, gives them the care they need, and saves money for our entire healthcare system.
My bill is straight forward and zero cost. It clarifies that current laws don’t prohibit direct primary care arrangements, while offering guidance for States that want to use direct primary care in their Medicaid programs, including my home state of Texas.
My bill passed out of the House, but it doesn’t end here. Now it’s the Senate’s turn. The Senate should take up this bill and pass it so our most vulnerable Americans get the healthcare they deserve.
