The joy and satisfaction you find in your work will naturally keep you growing and learning because that brings even greater fulfillment and satisfaction. Living your purpose is not a question of striving or sitting back. The alert attention of awareness that comes with doing what you love keeps your mind and heart awake and interested in new possibilities all the time. In that sense, striving isn’t hard work or ego-driven, it is the joy of exploration and curiosity. And for those on the path of awakening, there is no “sitting back and being satisfied with where I am.” That state of fulfillment and joy is not static, it is dynamically engaged in transforming the world through love, gratitude, compassion, selfless service, teaching, and creative problem-solving.
