It's something so lovely and invigorating that I find myself trying to cook up new projects just for the opportunity to be a part of it again. ⠀ Cole has this great relaxed, focused presence on set while somehow bringing a spontaneous energy to what he puts onscreen. His lighting and his camera are such exciting storytellers and performers that I find myself setting the stage and then stepping back to enjoy the interplay of him navigating the scene alongside our cast. I think shooting on film gave us the most beautiful but raw way to capture those discoveries on set. Not totally sure how to put it into words but it feels like film created the least separation between the story and the audience. ⠀ There's a timeless feeling in the emulsion as well as an on-set vitality that shooting on film creates, both of which really worked well with our teen werewolves!” ⠀ Director @jeremyschaulinrioux on using 35mm with DP @cole__graham for “Rules for Werewolves” starring @finnwolfhardoffical + @kelceymawema. Posted @withregram • @panavisionofficial "Rules For Werewolves was shot on the Panaflex Platinum and the ultra-speedy Ultra Speeds supplied by Panavision Vancouver. I was introduced to the Ultra Speeds using them on commercials and fell in love.⁣ ⁣ It was a no-brainer to employ them on this film as Jeremy and I wanted a gritty look for the world of werewolves and our small lighting budget required some quick glass.
