Graham McTavish Instagram – Enjoying a school camp with my youngest daughter and learning about geology. It might not look much but those shells embedded in that rock are 7-8 million years old. It definitely puts life into perspective. The larger rocks are the result of undersea volcanic eruptions before New Zealand even existed!! Cape Palliser also is home to a LOT of seals.
