For as long as I can remember I have been an extremely sensitive person. I have always been passionately exuberant, infinitely curious and hungry for bliss. But I have also been prone to negative emotion, fear and panic. The wrong circumstances would send me into obsessive, intrusive thoughts about what might happen. I tended to worry about worse case scenarios, and bring those future fears into the present, effectively robbing me of any peace or bliss in the here and now. I decided that fear was my enemy. Managing or eliminating fear was a primary necessity for enjoying life.
