Jess Harnell Instagram – We’ve all had movies that impacted us,
that truly made a difference in our lives. For me, one of those was “Jesus Christ Superstar”.
Not only did it give me my first exposure to what would become my chosen faith, it also showed me the brilliance of Mr. Ted Neeley in the title role.
He was the first one who made me think “I’d like to do screaming rock and roll someday” and was a huge influence on me.
Well, last night Cara and I had the pleasure to meet him and others from the film (including the amazing Yvonne Elliman, who played Mary Magdalene and who we sat next to, for the screening!).
They all could not have been kinder.
At one point, Ted and I shared some special words and we now call him our friend.
Thank you @tedneeleyofficial , for both then and now.
They say you should never meet your heroes.
In this case, they were wrong. 🙏🏻🤟🏻🙏🏻
