Since The King’s cancer diagnosis was announced, His Majesty has received thousands of messages of support and good wishes from around the world.
✉️ The King has since had a chance to read a wide selection of this correspondence.
🖋️ Thank you to all those who have written in.
As His Majesty has said, ‘All those who have been affected by cancer will know such kind thoughts are the greatest comfort and encouragement’.
The determination and strength of the Ukrainian people continues to inspire, as the unprovoked attack on their land, their lives and livelihoods enters a third, tragic, year.
Despite the tremendous hardship and pain inflicted upon them, Ukrainians continue to show the heroism with which the world associates them so closely. Theirs is true valour, in the face of indescribable aggression. I have felt this personally in the many meetings I have had with Ukrainians since the start of the war, from President Zelenskyy and Mrs Zelenska, to new army recruits training here in the United Kingdom.
I continue to be greatly encouraged that the United Kingdom and our allies remain at the forefront of international efforts to support Ukraine at this time of such great suffering and need. My heart goes out to all those affected, as I remember them in my thoughts and prayers.

“Survivors here and around the world have spoken out so bravely about their experiences. They are the most powerful advocates who remind us all that we must not turn our backs on the horrors of this crime, we must never forget the survivors.
Rather, we must stand shoulder to shoulder with all survivors to secure justice and holistic redress, and ensure that this crime isn’t an accepted part of conflict. Their rights and their voices must be at the heart of all our efforts to consign conflict-related sexual violence to the history books.”
The Duchess of Edinburgh has addressed, via video message, the Restoration of the Conflict-Related Sexual Violence Survivors’ Rights Conference in Ukraine.

At our Invest in Futures gala dinner on Thursday, @PrincesTrust supporter @twhiddleston read a special message from His Majesty The King to the audience:
“Ladies and Gentlemen, I am enormously grateful to you all for taking the time to attend this evening’s “Invest in Futures” gala dinner.
“I really am so pleased that The Trust’s work continues to go from strength to strength, having, in recent years, expanded from its mission in the United Kingdom to now supporting young people in twenty-three countries. Celebrating the global impact of this work is an achievement which, I must confess, I could not have dreamed of back in 1976 when I started The Trust, using, at that time, my Royal Navy severance pay when I left the Service to help disadvantaged young people achieve their full potential. Its mission remains the same today – to help young people into secure, sustainable jobs and enterprises, enabling them to build brighter futures.
“In the beginning, I hoped that by supporting young people to develop their latent skills and to find work or training, The Trust would perhaps be able to help change some individuals’ lives for the better. I am thrilled to say that it has now worked with over one million young people, helping them to start careers, launch businesses and re-engage with education.
“I am enormously inspired by the determination and commitment of young people, one of whom you will hear from later. They are changemakers; they will shape the world’s future and we must support them to realise their dreams.
“Looking ahead, I very much hope The Trust can continue to help young people and communities to understand the immeasurable difference they can make to our society when they choose positive paths in life and achieve their goals. That way they can help and build a brighter future.
