My son Oliver got married this weekend! My own marriage has been the best decision of my life. A parent’s greatest joy is seeing our children make wise decisions based on the right values, and Oliver has done that by marrying his perfect match, Katherine Ballantine Flinn.

I was recently able to visit with my mom, who is suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease, like many of our aging parents. Mom remains on a strict diet excluding simple carbs, exercises by taking daily walks, and takes brain-supporting supplements, like multivitamins. I know that even with these interventions, Mom will stop recognizing me eventually, so every moment counts until then. In the meantime, our family is doing everything we can to extend her healthy years — physically and cognitively. When it comes to finding the best quality, trustworthy supplements worldwide, I rely on @iherb. Learn more about iHerb at the link in my bio.
In my speech at Oliver and Katie’s wedding, I shared 3 important tips for a successful marriage: 1️⃣Marriage is about math — 2 people become 1, then marriage is the process where they determine which one. Actually, the math is magical, since 1 1 = everything, The Relationship is bigger than either of you alone. 2️⃣Expect the unexpected — marriage is messy, so bring a plunger! Humans are a weak species, but we communicate incredibly well so use this talent and remember that laughter is the closest distance between 2 people. 3️⃣Marriage is like music — it’s a symphony of high notes and low, darker moments. This is a big part of why marriage has been the best decision of my life, and will be for Oliver and Katie, too, if they are aware of each other’s desires and are honest with themselves about their needs.

I adored Suzanne’s willingness to challenge orthodox ideas and shine a path towards longevity that so many followed. She made every trip, event, and meal special. The Oz Family misses you.
This season is about gratitude, especially for our families. I love the ways we create memories and this year’s holiday party celebrated highlights of past gatherings.
It’s apple season!🍎🍏 Apples taste great and have so many benefits for your health — and don’t forget to eat the skin!
Though there is not yet a cure for Alzheimer’s or Dementia, continuing to engage with the people around you by sharing meals and conversation is a good way to stave off memory loss as much as possible — while also exercising regularly, taking key multivitamins, and enjoying a low carb, low sugar diet. As many of you know, my mom suffers from this degenerative disease, but I am grateful for moments of connection and conversation when they happen!
Grateful for these moments as a grandfather. Hope all who celebrate had a very Merry Christmas!🎄
This year, don’t just hunt for Easter eggs, enjoy them – and all their health benefits!🥚 Happy Easter!
My daughter Arabella Oz recently got engaged to her love, Nick Canellakis, a brilliant cellist. Together, they made a short film satirizing his passion for his instrument (watch the video in my stories). While Nick, like many musicians, can seem married to his work, I think he made the right choice by putting his instrument second to my daughter! I know they’ll continue to build a creative life together as they enter this exciting new chapter.

Our potential life expectancy could increase by a decade within our lifetime with improved disease prevention & advances in our understanding of aging. What will you do with the extra years? Working longer at a job that you enjoy offers community, purpose, and trillions of dollars of revenue for our country’s economy. Read more on the topic at the link in my stories, where colleagues and I outlined our argument that increased longevity is a path towards economic growth.

Watching world class athletes with heart-wrenching personal stories battle in the arena reveals the resilience of the human body and spirit. His parents named @tysonfury accurately, after my friend @miketyson. This 25k seat arena was built in just 3 months — another impressive feat of human tenacity!

This week, the world lost a powerful philanthropist and I lost a mentor in Joe O’Donnell. Joe was a great athlete who never got to see his only son play at the same level because little Joey succumbed to Cystic Fibrosis at age 12. When their son died, Joe and Kathy started @thejoeyfund, which revolutionized patient-driven medical research. Joe got CF families to work together, pushing doctors for cutting edge clinical trials to help their kids. The first solution helped only a few kids, but showed that treatment was possible for an otherwise uniformly fatal illness. They sold the patents to Pharma and re-invested the money in more advanced research that’s resulted in successful treatment of almost all CF kids. Joe’s dream created one of the largest private medical philanthropies in the world and they are using the same model to start attacking other aggressive diseases like ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease). Our family loved Joe dearly, and so did everyone else who was graced with his presence. Joe, I know you are having a catch with Joey right now.
