Are you turning into a digital zombie, spending hours staring at your screen? Becoming addicted to the distraction it provides? If not, good on you. But if you feel like you are and are looking to make a change, allow me to recommend checking out this new book RAISING HELL, LIVING WELL by my friend @folkrebellion It is insightful, poignant, funny, and important. I hope you all give yourself some time away from your devices and bring your presence to where your feet meet the earth. We’re, all of us, a long time gone from this place, and while we’re here we owe it to ourselves to experience as much of life as we can. Xo

So this is obviously bullshit. I have no idea who this clown is but it isn’t me. Why why why would anyone create a “private” “secret” account…yet use continue to use their actual name?? Whoever is doing this, I don’t know what your goal is, but please, find something better to do with your time. If you’ve been messaged by this person, I’m sorry. It’s not me. Please block and report, as I have.
I am absolutely shocked and completely crushed to hear the news of the passing of Paul Eckstein. Paul was a beam of light embodied here on planet earth. And while I’ve only known him a relatively short time, we met last year at the start of Season3 for @godfatherofharlem , we immediately clicked. We made plans to one day take our families to Jamaica together, we had stories we wanted to tell together, things we wanted to shoot and show the world. He was cherished by the cast and crew of @godfatherofharlem. I know he was by everyone he came in contact with. My heart breaks for his wife and kids, he was such a devoted father. My sincerest condolences as well to my GOH family who’ve had the chance to work and walk with him for several years. To @cbrancato86 his close friend and writing partner, and to all those who knew and loved him. Really going to miss you brother. Rest In Power 💔💔
Proud of my union of fellow performers joining the writers at the WGA in taking a stand against the unfair business practices of the corporations represented by the AMPTP. We stand United. And we demand respect in the form of a fair deal. @sagaftra
BLACK MARIA is having its World Premiere at the TCL Chinese Theaters in Hollywood – July 1st at 8 PM for the 26th annual DANCES WITH FILMS festival! Tickets available via the link in bio!! Ana Morales is the wife of a local gangster, a petty thug with a penchant for violence. When the infamous Allende Brothers darken her doorstep, Ana is forced to confront her husband’s horrifying truth. Black Maria is a Matriarchal story of brotherhood and bloodshed, of honor found in a den of thieves. Starring: @michaelraymondjames @vannessitav @jmolazabal & @augusto_aguilera Written and Directed by: @marcuswalbino Produced by: @bradwithaq Executive Producers: @bradwithaq @marcuswalbino Co-Executive Producer: @kcmerrill Co-Executive Producer: @justinarbabi Co-Producer: @barbaraestelledejesus Co-Producer: @amiwerges Associate Producers: @vevemarialopez and @3dmanband Director of Photography: @kylemcconaghy Production Designer: @divinelauncher Costume Designer: @mizzlizzybee #indiefilm #womeninfilm #trendingnow #gangster #filmfestival #film #filmmaking #filmmaker #art #filmproduction #movie #moviescenes #moviemaking #women #female #blackmagic #blackmagicdesign #independentfilm #followus #setlife #love #filmfestivalseason #photography #losangeles #newyork #chicago
There is just too much to say about @michaelraymondjames. If you only needed one reason to watch @blackmaria.film, his portrayal as #MichaelAllende is enough to keep you on the edge of your seat. I’m not overstating it when I say that this shoot and the two years that we spent working together to make this dream a reality, have changed my life as a filmmaker. I wrote this role with no other actor but Michael in mind. What many people may not appreciate is that beyond his performance – which is extraordinary – this movie wouldn’t have been possible without him. Period. The countless hours of phone calls and intimate conversations tearing through every line of this script, the work he put in ensuring that the cast was at the quality we needed to thrive, the motivation and compassion he lent in those darkest hours is above all the most important relationship i’ve ever had as a director and an experience I will cherish for the rest of my life. -@marcuswalbino Produced by: @bradwithaq Co-Executive Producer: @kcmerrill Co-Producer: @barbaraestelledejesus Co-Producer: @amiwerges Co-Producer/Editor: @justinarbabi Associate Producers: @vevemarialopez and @3dmanband Director of Photography: @kylemcconaghy Production Designer: @divinelauncher Costume Designer: @mizzlizzybee #indiefilm #womeninfilm #trendingnow #gangster #filmfestival #film #filmmaking #filmmaker #art #filmproduction #movie #moviescenes #moviemaking #women #female #blackmagic #blackmagicdesign #independentfilm #followus #setlife #love #filmfestivalseason #photography #losangeles #newyork #chicago

#ArielleAnderson #AlexandriaVerner #BrianFraser Three more lives taken from the world much too soon by another madman with a gun. Five more students fighting for theirs. Family’s shattered. Parents who never got a phone call that night to hear “I”m okay mom.” Or, “I love you Dad.” A chance to pursue their dreams, extinguished forever. A classroom should never be considered the wrong place at the wrong time. And yet it keeps happening. This isn’t performative grief. I’m still fighting tears over this. And losing. Anyone who knows me knows I’m a big fan of The Michigan Wolverines. But this is so much bigger than sports fandom. Michigan State University is the school my big sister went to, where she was the captain of the Dance Team. The school that my niece and many of my cousins and my friends attended. A school I even took some classes at at one point. This is about kids having the right to grow up, safely, in a society that values their lives over the profits of a few gun manufacturers willing to stoke fear mongering culture wars, pitting well meaning Americans against each other in order to enrich themselves. Some of you will no doubt be furious at me for that last statement. Some will say Hollywood glorifies gun violence and is to blame for the proliferation of mass shootings all over America. I’s a straw man argument, but sure, could we do a better job as an industry to tell different stories? Sure. But ask yourself this… Canada sees the same movies we do. So does France, and England, and South Korea, and Australia, and Ireland, and Japan, etc. yet they don’t have anywhere near our levels of school shootings. Why is that? They also have freedom. Look, to those who are angry right now, I don’t claim to know what the answer is. But I DO KNOW that doing nothing hasn’t worked. And that it is going to take all of us. Enough of doing nothing. Comments are turned off because I’m not interested is going around and around with a bunch of trolls looking to have a fight. #SpartanStrong ☮️
