Here are the results from the incredible season finale of #Botched, which featured Yamile’s extraordinary story! My patient, Nissa, came to me to fix the crookedness (axis deviation) of her nose and as well as correct her tip. In order to make her nose more symmetric, I performed a dorsal preservation surgery. That’s when we correct the deviation from the inside of the nose. These results are after only two months, but you can already see how much straighter her nose is! This patient is only six months post-op from her reconstructive surgery due to her multiple basal cell carcinomas she had removed! Like me 24 years ago, this patient’s nostril was pulled up once the cancer was removed. We used a composite graft from the ear to lengthen her nostril, which was the same procedure that was done to me. She’s still swollen and is early on in her healing process, but her breathing has already improved and her main goal of having more symmetric nostrils is already a success!
