Four score and seven years ago (give or take), Pee-wee thought he had the perfect disguise as a not-so-honest Abe to escape his adoring fans — oops! 🎩🕶️ Happy Presidents’ Day!
BINGO! 🎬✨ #OnThisDay nine years ago marked the start of the filming of “Pee-wee’s Big Holiday!” This clip, with Pee-wee and Gordon the Traveling Salesman being pranksters, was the very first scene filmed. Fun fact: Patrick Egan, who plays Gordon, also played a pivotal role in Pee-wee’s (Paul Reubens) creative path. It was Patrick who introduced Paul to @thegroundlings improv group and encouraged him to audition. He did, and the rest is history! P.S. Watch “Pee-wee’s Big Holiday” on @Netflix! #LinkInBio #PeeweeHerman #PatrickEgan
Happy Caturday! 🐾 Pee-wee fan Christine fell in love with Pee-wee’s Playhouse as a kid and then again in college. She shares, “I was lucky enough to see his show live on Broadway. I remember walking into the theater, and it was like stepping right into the Playhouse — it was such a magical experience.” Last year, as you can see, she dressed one of her kitties like Cowboy Curtis and the other like Pee-wee, (and herself as Pterri)! Can we also talk about the rest of her set? Just look at Chairry and Clocky! Christine picked today’s Secret Word: #Magic! You know what to do! 😱 #PeeweeForever

❤️ This one’s for everyone deep in the heart of Texas 👏👏👏👏 (or going on a big adventure to Austin soon)! 🤠✨ “The World According to Allee Willis” is making its world premiere at @ZACHTheatre on March 11 during #SXSW — and you don’t need a festival badge to attend! 🎭🎟 Allee Willis, who we sadly lost in 2019, left an enormous mark on music and culture. On top of being an incredible visionary and artist, she was behind timeless hits like Earth, Wind & Fire’s “September,” “Boogie Wonderland,” “In the Stone,” and other hits like “Neutron Dance,” “What Have I Done to Deserve This,” and the “Friends” theme song, “I’ll Be There For You.” Not surprisingly, Paul Reubens and Allee were close friends. And, he is featured in the film through archival footage and interviews, offering insights into her creative genius! 🎥: Deep cut moment: At the “Pee-wee’s Big Adventure” premiere in 1985, MTV Veejay Mark Goodman @GoodyMade and @DavidLeeRoth gave a shout-out to Allee and her “Big Adventure” song. While it didn’t land in the film, it rocks our socks off with its quintessentially eighties music video (and, yes, you can hear Pee-wee on vocals!) and a super cool picture disc! 🕺💿 Going to be in Austin on March 11? Snag your tickets to this really special film now! #LinkInBio Follow @WillisWonderlandFND for more about Allee Willis and her legacy! #PeeweeHerman #PaulReubens #AlleeWillis #WillisWonderlandFoundation #SXSWfilm #DeepCuts #DeepInTheHeartOfTexas #PeeweesBigAdventure
