Talk about reinventing the wheel. 🎡 You can find Ferris wheels worldwide today, but the original debuted at the 1893 World’s Fair in Chicago. The attraction was hugely innovative and HUGE in general. Standing 258 feet tall, it soared to even greater heights than the Centennial Wheel at @navypierchicago today. (which reaches nearly 200 feet) Many fairgoers had never traveled to such heights in their life.
