Sometimes theatre is an escape. Sometimes a laugh. Or a good cry. And sometimes – rarely – it is a lynchpin. @seadogtheater ‘s production of Tuesdays with Morrie is *that* kind of theatre… the kind that can alter your cells. It is a mirror. It is gorgeous; hideous; horrifying; human. Len Cariou’s “Morrie,” in my humble opinion, solidifies his status as one of the greatest performers alive today. His craftsmanship and facility is on full display. He will shatter your heart and sew it back together with a single sentence. “Tuesdays with Morrie” has been extended. If you can, give yourself the gift of seeing a master at work. I will scream this from every rooftop: I work with giants. “There is no point in loving. Loving *is* the point.” Grateful to share space with you, Len. You left me gobsmacked.

A good cup of coffee is a vital part of my morning ritual. I make it bold, rich, and, always, with my faithful Aeropress. I discovered Inti Speciality Coffee in Park City, Utah when Inti founder Julio was my Uber driver! While en route to an event for @darumamovie at Slamdance, we enjoyed a vibrant conversation about his home country of Peru: alpacas, Machu Picchu, and coffee! Julio’s company, @inti_coffee, sources their beans in Peru from small farms. His coffee is the real deal: fair trade, organic, bold, and rich. I sprinkled in some Maine scenery and am savoring the perfect cup this morning! (PS: my 11 year old aspiring filmmaker son lensed and produced this entire piece, from soup to nuts. To coffee. ☕️)
