Leap day ski trip ⛷️💨🏔️🐻 Diverted a sister ski trip with @flywithbritt96 and kept it local which meant the whole family was suddenly invited. Teaching your kid ANYTHING requires oodles of patience. Teaching your kid to ski requires enough patience to fill Big Bear lake. Lots of tears and plenty of frustration early on but when we listened to our child and took off the ski clip a friendly, well- meaning staff member hooked on her skis, she fared much better and had a really enjoyable day. We gave Ember some tips, and told her the basics but mainly she taught herself to ski. Parents, give them the tools, make adjustments, then get out of their way. We have a budding skier! @drewseeley Ps…kids 4 and under get free rentals at Big Bear Mountain . Perfect low pressure opportunity to try the sport before you commit. We’re all Kenough 💘 I found Ryan Gosling so relatable in Barbie. Truly. Follow me for a second. When I first started dating my now husband @drewseeley because of the awareness of his work back then while I was still building my career, It was hard to forge my own identity at times. A true low blow was once getting invited to a charity event in San Diego when I was a host on E! – the org put me up in a nice hotel and made me feel so welcome – only to introduce on the red carpet as ‘Drew Seeley’s girlfriend.’ I mean … Wow. That’s why I loved Ken’s arc in @barbiethemovie 💝 A lot of us are realizing we were always enough just because we are. Not because of what we do or who we know. As is. I love how Greta Gerwig and Margo Robbie made feminism palatable and the patriarchy understandable. But the biggest takeaway for me was the truth: we all benefit when gender roles are less rigid and when women are not only let into spaces and valued for taking up space, but also made space for and welcomed into the party. It’s not enough to be tolerated. It’s about being thought of, appreciated, and welcome. That’s all Ken really wants, too. Journey with me to @stay.zeroproof in Chinatown during Lunar New Year! It may be the year of the dragon but my friends and I were feeling like the GOAT – all 3 of us ordering the warm Earl Gray and coconut cream drinks off the bar’s Chinese zodiac inspired menu. A true delight of a space in an area rich with history and culture. As a person who stopped consuming alcohol 2.5 years ago, it’s refreshing to know there are safe spaces where we are thought of, catered to and accepted – sans booze. It’s also nice that three busy moms of nursery school aged kids can relax in a beautiful space, enjoy a fancy drink and feel ready to negotiate with a small human as soon as we wake up the next morning. Thank you for believing in this vision and bringing it to Los Angeles, Summer and Stacey. I think your lounge is pretty rad 🫖🧉⛩️🏮
