Barbara Niven Instagram – This was such a wow moment for me. I had a meeting in Burbank this week, a block away from Warner Bros. Studios. It still takes my breath away to live here in L.A. and be surrounded by legends and locations of old Hollywood that I always dreamed about.
During our meeting, the owner of the house casually said “Did you know Marilyn Monroe’s house is the next block over?” I was gob smacked. You know already the way I feel about Marilyn, especially since playing her in the Rat Pack. Then he said, “You want to take a walk?” Sure enough we strolled over to 4215 Warner Avenue, and there it was. Just like I’d seen it in the pictures. In fact my bestie Sue googled the address and found a photo of Marilyn standing on the front porch. They all urged me to go up to the house and stand where Marilyn did, and this is the result. Very rarely am I speechless, but I sure was this time. It was truly a “goosebumps” moment.
