Danica McKellar Instagram – Happy 50th anniversary to @inventorshof! 🥂 (Tell me your favorite invention below! ⬇️) I was truly honored to host the National Inventors Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Thursday – with Mo Rocca this time – to celebrate brilliant minds behind some of the world’s most groundbreaking inventions at “The Greatest Celebration of American Innovation.” 🤗 . . And a video I grabbed of amazing wheelchair-bound US Army veteran Rory Cooper ballroom dancing with his wife…💃👩‍🦽 and guess what? He just so happens to be the inventor of the lightweight wheelchairs (plus all sorts of adaptations he masterminded) that allows this kind of mobility – he began by building prototypes in his mom’s auto repair shop when he returned from serving back in the early 1980’s. 🤗🇺🇸 For more stories like this and also those of fellow inductees like Lynn Conway, Marjorie Stewart Joyner, and Lonnie Johnson (swipe for a pic of us!), check out invent.org. 🙌 . .
