Dita Von Teese Instagram – The Carousel Horse ✨🎠✨ When @catherinedlish and I first debuted this act in 2001, as the new wave of burlesque was underway, it blew expectations among audiences and fellow entertainers. The top hat. The costume. The #carousel horse complete with shiny brass pole. Everything blindingly and colorfully twinkled with @swarovski ✨ Catherine’s costume was the most over the top she had done at the time. In my 2002 #Playboy cover story, I posed in my full “Carousel” act regalia, from plume to #pointe shoes, perched atop the twee horse. Alas, that #bedazzled beast went missing a few years later and we had to remake it.
