If you’re cruising around Rhinebeck NY this weekend enjoying all this pretty weather, be sure to pop in and visit our friends @upstate_down in their brand new location right down the street from @samuelssweetshop !
For decades, @alsticklefiveanddime was the mercantile in our town run by the same family for generations. @upstatedown_jawn and @delyseberry are continuing that family business tradition, and so we were happy to pop in after Gus’s birthday dinner on Thursday for the opening night.
Congrats you guys!!! The space is beautiful. Love seeing our local shops remain #smallbusiness treasures.

Who loves Theatre?????
Who loves Books????!
Who loves BOTH?!?!?
April 14th is gonna be a wild day at @rbkcenter !
First up, I am partnering with @oblongbooks to host, one of my very favorite writers @sarahlangan and discuss her newest novel “A Better World”! It’s so so so so SO good!
Then, I’m gonna stick around the theater for an afternoon fundraiser. Please join us and get a behind-the-scenes look at our local gem of a theater, meet performers, do a meet and greet with me in the dressing rooms and enjoy local goodies! A show for a fabulous cause!
Theater changed my life and I’m watching that hold true for my son as he performs in various productions at @rbkcenter . Can’t wait to see you there. Xo
It’s clearly time for mama to get a new phone cause my pictures look like they’re from a mid 90s era disposable camera.
BUT, @nikolainiceguy, Gus and I continued our Friday Night “Dinner and a Show” routine by hitting up the always perfect @cinnamonrhinebeck , and then taking in the opening night of “Alice By Heart” at @rbkcenter .
I wasn’t familiar with the production, so the whole experience was INCREDIBLE! I love that feeling of experiencing something new for the very first time. Especially in theatre.
The Teens on Stage program at @rbkcenter never disappoints, and the vibrant talent of these kids blew me away last night. I WISH there was a program like this when I was growing up. It’s dazzling.
So, with all that said, please, not only go see this show, and give these incredible teenagers a Standing Ovation, but if you are able, make a donation to this beloved institution, so that it can continue this kind of programming for decades to come !
My sincere congratulations to all involved. Xoxox

Got up this morning to hang with some of our Rhinebeck High School students as they promoted their Spring Musical “James and the Giant Peach”. Massive thank you to my pals @musicbycj1 and @missjbo at @hvcountry for having us in studio to hype up opening night tonight and announce the fundraiser we are doing for @rbkcenter on April 14th!
This community thrives on collaboration and I’m so happy to raise my kids with this mindset.
@rbkcenter has done so much to support theater in our schools. So then I’m happy to jump in and support the the Center. And then @hvcountry jumps in to support me. It’s a cycle of positivity and fun and connectivity and I can’t wait to do more as we build these programs up.
Bring the kiddos to come see the show this weekend (check out @rhsdramaclub2024 for tickets) and maybe I’ll bust out a song from my own high school theater days at our April 14th @rbkcenter fundraiser! (Link in bio)
Break a leg, Hawks!!!

Alright Lovebirds!
I’m gonna let you in on a real sexy bit of advice. Recently @jeffreydeanmorgan and I made our annual pilgrimage to @sundanceorg and we always make it a point to visit one of our FAVORITE shops in the entire world – @burns_1876 !
You’ve seen Jeffrey wearing their @burnshats and boots all over, and I wore my red cowboy boots on the Boston leg of my book tour with @ahoffmanwriter . (Witches wear red boots, right?!?!)
Well, our friends Tommy and Tegan created the most OUTSTANDING belt buckles for us this year, and they are the best way to show the whole world that you and your Valentine are attached at the hip!
Hit them up for a custom order or get one of their in-stock silver masterpieces. These are heirloom pieces that we are proud to wear and pass down one day.
Always so good seeing you @burns_1876 !!! Thank you so much!!!

The Sound of Music?
Funny Girl?
Into the Woods?
If you all miss play rehearsal like I do, come to our fundraiser for @rbkcenter on April 14th and we can do a little singing TOGETHER!
Keep the arts alive! Support local theatre.

Had a fabulous Career Day at our middle school, thanks to ALL of the volunteers from our community!! @rhinebeckptso is so grateful for you. Happy to be a local business owner that can participate in collaborative events like this and so proud of our @samuelssweetshop partner @john__traver who came back to his alma mater and taught these kids about small business ownership…..and candy. Always candy. And coffee, of course. 🍭🍬☕️
@adamsfairacrefarms made our staff/volunteer luncheon so easy and delicious. Thank you!!

You guys know I love raising awareness and money for people and places I love.
Planning a very special Sunday on April 14th here in Rhinebeck. Hammering out last minute details now, but tickets are going to be limited because the space is small, so just wanted to give a heads up before they go on sale.
See you soon! Xoxo
Today was ROUGH! And somehow my lady @kitsieduncan knew I needed a hefty dose of @thatwitchbeauty to ground and center myself!!
These products are SO beautiful and SO high quality. Please go send Galentines Day packages to all your favorite witches!!!!
@kitsieduncan – You are queen of the cauldron!! Thank you so much!!!
I am spraying this smokeless sage spray like a motherfucker! And then I’m gonna shower and treat this tired winter skin to an indulgent dip in blue lotus lotions and potions!! 🔮😘💖

Pat Chisenhall has always maintained that he acted in self defense and that he is protected under the Castle Doctrine – a North Carolina law that gives individuals the right to use reasonable force, including deadly force, to protect themselves against an intruder in their home. But after the crime scene is processed and an autopsy is performed…the team questions whether the Castle Doctrine does in fact stand.
