Hilarie Burton Instagram – Once upon a time there was a little girl who felt completely adrift in the big, mean real world. So she hid out behind stage curtains and in the warm glow of dressing rooms, and got to invent a whole new reality for herself – one of song and witty dialogue and applause. Theatre saves kids’ lives. It saved mine. So I’m grateful to the grownups who fostered those experiences for me. 🎭 And so now that I have a child who has found himself in the same sets and showtunes, I want to help protect those sacred spaces! April 14th, come join me for “The Dressing Room Diaries” at @rbkcenter . This beloved institution in my town has really suffered from the loss of a large donor, and so rather than do any conventions this year, I’m just gonna do a ticketed event to raise money for them. Wanna meet and greet? Get a backstage tour from members of the company? Taste locals goodies from @twinstarorchards and @samuelssweetshop ? Get previews of upcoming performances? Join my Drama Club and do theatre games and act out scenes together?? We are gonna have a wild afternoon of fun onstage and behind the scenes.
