Holly Robinson Peete Instagram – Rest In Peace Beautiful Ryan Gainer 💔💔💔💔 I didn’t know you, but I DO know you. You remind me so much of my RJ. And when he was exactly the age you were when you were killed , 15-he had a very similar mental health crisis in public . We were at a concert venue and he started freaking out in the parking lot because there was something that he wanted to do that we couldn’t let him do. He was at once confused, angry frustrated he couldn’t express his self. Complete sensory overload. He didn’t understand and he started throwing things. He started kicking the car windows of strangers ..we all tried to talk him and calm him down -we tried to grab him -but he was in an emotional rage. We were outside. I heard someone say they were going to call 911 and I’m sure the call would’ve been “black male in Inglewood being violent.” If I didn’t have my other kids with me to help me get him in the car and calm him down, it would’ve ended differently and maybe, he would’ve been killed on the spot by a cop who didn’t understand what was going on with him and feared for their safety…😢😢😢😢How do we stop this? How do we get more compassionate, nuanced law-enforcement training? . How can we get a program where someone with de-escalation and mental health training accompanies a cop on this call and then this doesn’t happen.WE MUST DO BETTER- We must stop failing our children…. Holly Robinson Peete Instagram – #fbf I never felt like more of an empowered superhuman than when I was pregnant especially with my twins and then nursing them at the same time made me feel like I could do ANYTHING I wanted! I never felt so hormonally spiritually and physically aligned with who I was as a woman… not everybody could or did enjoy breastfeeding I get that! …but for me it was absolutely exhilarating and intoxicating.
