The epithet of its scientific name comes from the Latin word “umbellatus” which means umbel-like. However, unlike what its name suggests, the labayo has corymb inflorescence or flat-topped flower arrangement.” “Crateva religiosa, commonly known as salingbobog, belongs to the Caper family. Salingbobog is a naturally occurring tree in the Philippines. It inhabits inundated forests and is usually found in low-elevated areas and rarely seen in places with medium elevations. During its flowering season in summer, the salingbobog shows various colors as it blooms.” If you’d like to visit the exhibition, it is located at the Upper Courtyard of the National Museum of Natural History! Open Tuesdays to Sundays, 9 AM to 5 PM. Free admission, too! 🤗

Iza Calzado Instagram – Going through the videos and photos of our recent She Talks Asia Summit, Breaking Stereotypes, and I’m still in awe of how magical the day was for all of us.

The room was filled with women from all walks of life, where stories and lessons were shared to help empower each and every one of those in attendance, myself included. Grateful to everyone who signed up and really stayed until the end.

We couldn’t have done any of this without the help and support of our speakers, our growing STA Tribe, the project leads, production team — everyone involved. We are so grateful for the hard work and effort you all put in to make this day happen with such power behind it.

I’ll carry this feeling until the next one. See you all at next year’s summit. 🤗

P.S. To my amazing co-founders, thank you for believing in me and inspiring me to be better. ILYSM. 🥹
