Everyone was given the same opportunity to choose their placement on the staircase. Not one time did I worry about how I was going to get down. My dress is very heavy but I allowed my gut and instinct to lead the way.
I respectfully reigned all year as Miss Sweetheart giving myself only TWO WEEKS to prepare for this contest. The entire time I kept hearing a whisper saying “be not dismayed”. I am PREPARED.
Being a part of the Miss Black America division means that I get a chance to join a legacy with so many people that I love and admire. Often times I’ve contemplated on retiring from pageantry however ballroom has given me a new fire to be creative and push boundaries. You the people have made it clear that I still have a place in the industry so tonight be prepared to experience the rebirth of Jazell Royale Tisci!
In my 16 years of competing, this is the most support I’ve ever received. If given the opportunity to be Miss Black America 2024-2025, I’m going to show you better than I can tell all year!
